Joe C. "Joe Buck" Davis, 80, of the Ladds Community, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 14, 2017.

Joe Buck was a son of the late M.T. "Tee" Davis and Caroline Leiderman Davis. He was born in the Ladds Community and lived there his entire life, except during his time serving in the United States Army.

Joe Buck was a longtime employee with the Iron Workers Union 704, working last at TVA's Widows Creek, retiring after many years of service. Following retirement he and his wife, Reba, operated Ladd's Grocery until closing the business in the late 1990's.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Bill, Ray, Tom, Clayton and Oren Davis; as well as sisters, Mary Ruth Davis Hartline and Laura Carroll.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Reba Webb Davis; children, Donna (Jim) Alexander, Mike Davis and Scott (Shelley) Davis; grandchildren, Josh (Layne) Jennings, Alex Davis and Bailey Davis; sister, Pauline Tuders; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to commemorate his life will be conducted at 1:00 PM CDT, Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home, with Reverend Joey Manis officiating.

Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 PM CDT and on Thursday, May 18, 2017, one hour prior to the service at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
