Joe B. Rector, 86, of South Pittsburg, TN died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in a Chattanooga Hospital.

The son of the late Walter Garfield and Rhoda Havner Rector, he was a loving father and a former truck driver for Sam Hunter Trucking in South Pittsburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia McBee Rector; son, Randy Jo Rector and daughter, Patricia Sue Ladd.

He is survived by his children, Connie (Johnny) McDonald of South Pittsburg, TN, Wendell (Yvette) Rector of Tracy City, TN, Regina (Paul) Lewin of Jonesborough, TN, and Jerry (Cyndi) Rector of Jasper; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2pm CST with Reverends Ronnie Case and David Gudger officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 6-9pm CST and on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 9am until 9pm at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
