John D. Chance, 79, of South Pittsburg, TN, died Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at his home.
He was the son of the late Frank S. and Lillie Mae Burnette Chance.
John loved to cook, read, work with flowers and send cards to his friends. He retired from TVA Widows Creek after 25 years of service. He was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion, Woodmen of the World and Richard City Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Janelle Chance; sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Baldwin, and brother-in-law, Houston Durham all of South Pittsburg, TN; special niece, Pat Cooper, of Jasper, TN and several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 22, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00pm at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Payne officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
