John Walter Haden, Sr. was born in South Pittsburg, TN on Wednesday, August 16, 1961. He was 59 years old when he departed his life on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
He had multiple hobbies, but his ultimate obsession was cars and collecting fine ink pens. He also enjoyed fishing, making and creating fishing gear, and he loved his chewing gum. Spending time with his loved ones was his peace, he was the life of the party. His energy illuminated every room he walked into bringing laughter and unity.
John's mother, Jean Haden, moved him and his siblings to Pontiac, MI in 1975. John then accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at East Side Church of Christ in Pontiac, MI. John attended Pontiac Central High School, and graduated in 1979. After completing high school, John took interest in Pontiac Business Institute (PBI) while he was accompanied by his eldest brother Curtis (Tony) Haden, and first cousin Jesse A. Cole, Sr. John pursued his educational experience working for several companies known as AKZ0 Coating in Pontiac, MI, Harry S. Peterson in Orion, MI, Home Depot in Bloomfield, MI and Lowes in Bloomfield, MI. John extended his passion in management at Lowes in Athens, Alabama in 2001.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jean Haden on Thursday, January 18, 1990. John Walter Haden, Sr. leaves to cherish his memory; his father, Curtis Haden, Sr. children; Willie Hairston, Trever Hairston, Jasmine (Dequantay) Johnson, John Walter Haden, Jr. (Mia) and Ebony Haden. Grandchildren; Clevon and Cle'leah Nichols, Olivia, Janiyah, Zionah, Amari'yah, Hadassa, and Haden Abriyah Garrett. Brothers and sisters; Curtis Haden (Terry) Robert Haden, Subrina Haden, Carolyn Haden, Josie Haden Hanley (Lenard), James Haden, as well as a host of lovely nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service will Friday, May 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm (CDT) in the chapel at Rogers Funeral Home, South Pittsburg.
Visitation prior to service from 12-2:00 pm (CDT) on Friday,May 7, 2021 at Rogers Funeral Home, South Pittsburg.
Pallbearers will be John Walter Haden, Jr., Willie Hairston, Robert Haden, David Townsend, Maurice Cumbus and Charles Doucette
