John "Ohannes" Kaprelian of Whitwell, Tn. Born September 2, 1922 in Damascus, Syria, went to his home in heaven on May the 23, 2023.

John served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He enjoyed working in his shop, church, grooming his "ACRES", spending time with family, and especially loved the Jasper VFW Post 6362. Wednesday night ice cream socials with his "buddies"  from the VFW Post & Auxiliary were the highlight of every week.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Rupan and Osgy Kaprelian, his wife of 62 years, Winifred "Tootie" Kaprelian, his brother Sam; sisters; Sonia, Elsie, Sue, and grandson, Jered Ashworth.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Kenneth (Margaret) Kaprelian, Norman (Barbara) Kaprelian, Lynette, ( Roy "Pudgy" Frost), 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and His very best friend Hugh Jordan.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Jasper VFW Post 6362 with military honors on Sunday, June 4th at 2:00 pm.
