John Allen Smith, 79 passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 with his wife of 51 years by his side.  John was born in Eagan, TN., but spent most of his life in South Pittsburg and Kimball, TN.  After working for Penn-Dixie Cement Co., John worked for TVA until his retirement.

He enjoyed the time spent with his family, the many years of farming, Pirate football and time spent with friends at the Pirate Restaurant.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Doris Smith and his father-in-law, Stanley Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Smith; daughter, Missy Halley (John); son, Todd Allen Smith (Angie)

Grandchildren, Peyton Halley Hargis (Mason), Tyler Halley and Cassidy Smith; brothers, Jerry Smith, Hixson, Tennessee, and Gray Smith, Livingston, TN.; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and mother-in-law, Sally Smith.

Pallbearers will be Rodger Ford, Jeff Keef, Jason Collins, Joey Hookey, David Jackson, David Cawood, Mason Hargis and Tyler Halley.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Neil Kirkpatrick and Don Ament.

Arrangements will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the Family requests donations be made to the Pirate sport of your choice or any personal organization of your choice.
