John Cecil Thomas, Sr., 74, of Jasper, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at his home. He was the son of the late Berry and Isabel Thomas. John was a former employee at Lodge Manufacturing Company and TVA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lee Jones Thomas and their two sons, John Cecil Thomas, Jr. and Paul Edward Thomas.
He is survived by brothers, George Thomas of South Pittsburg, TN, Ronnie Thomas of Ringgold, GA and Carl Edward Thomas of Kennesaw, GA; sisters, Opal Sanders of Gruetli-Laager, TN and Carolyn Thomas of Park City, KY; granddaughters Rebecca Lynn Thomas and Melissa Thomas; and grandson, John Floyd Thomas all of South Pittsburg.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 11th from 3:00 PM to 9:00PM at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
A graveside funeral service at Gilliam Cemetery in South Pittsburg will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 12th.
