Johnny M. Russell, 69, of South Pittsburg, TN died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at his home following a brief illness. He was a beloved husband, Daddy and "Pop".

The son of the late William Howard and Lenolia Russell, he was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from TVA after 28 years at Widow's Creek where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Jerry Russell.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Gibson Russell of South Pittsburg; daughters, Nancy Russell of Atlanta, GA, Tanya Peterson of Atlanta, GA and Ramona Branham of South Pittsburg, TN; sons, Jeff Russell of Decatur, AL, Randall (Anna) Rorex of New Hope, TN and Terry Russell of Woodville, AL; grandchildren, Eve Peterson, William McKinney, Hunter Russell and Garrett Russell; brother, Buddy Russell of Tuscumbia, AL; sisters, Barbara (David) Simmons of Florence, AL and Mary Brooks of Tuscumbia, AL.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 12:30pm Central time on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 with Rev. Sam Whited officiating. Interment will follow at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN with military honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, December 2nd from 5-9pm Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
