Josie Mae Kirk Stewart, 93, of South Pittsburg, TN died Friday, June 22, 2012 in a local healthcare facility.

She attended Battle Creek Baptist Church and spent much of her time quilting, cooking and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Hazel Bass Kirk and seven siblings.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Bradford of South Pittsburg and Ellen Jones of Bridgeport, AL; grandchildren, Donna Bradford of Winston-Salem, NC, Brenda Durham of Crossroads, TN, Paul Jones of Bridgeport, AL and Cindy Hale of Castlewood, VA; three great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Durham, LeAnn Durham and Caleb Murray; great-great-granddaughter, Makenna Murray; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 2pm Central time on Sunday, June 24, 2012 with Rev. Jeff Nelson officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 5-9pm Central time at the funeral home.
