Katherine Killian Case, 88, of Griffin, GA, and a former resident of South Pittsburg, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at her home.
The daughter of the late Jeremiah W. and Lela Minnie Kirkpatrick Killian, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. "Red" Case and her brother, J.C. Killian. She was a graduate of South Pittsburg High School and the McKenzie Business School in Chattanooga, having worked at the Marion County Courthouse and later having been a bookkeeper for Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative. Born and raised in Richard City, she loved being at home and always believed that she lived in the most beautiful place on earth. She was a devoted member of the South Pittsburg Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Ann "Casey" Case, of Griffin, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Linnie and John Reed Lowry of Smyrna, GA; special great-great-niece, Lexy Johnson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 10:30am Central Time with James Warren and Bill Helm officiating. Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6-8pm Central Time.
