Katherine "Babe" Tatum Swafford, 78, of Jasper, Tennessee, died Friday, October 6, 2017, at her home.
A lifelong resident of Jasper, she was a member of the South Pittsburg Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Catherine Tatum and her husband, Eugene Swafford.
She is survived by two daughters, Kayla (Tony) Springs and Clarissa Swafford; grandchildren, Jennifer Springs, Derrick (Allison) Springs, and Blake Springs; great-grandchildren, Ali, Braylon, Somaya, EJ, and Emma Raine Springs; sister, Mary Ann (Cecil) Westmoreland; brother-in-law, Joseph (Dee) Swafford; nieces and nephews, Tony, Celia, and Joey.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM Central time.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee, at 1:00 PM Central time on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 with Ron Gilbert, officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Frances Holtcamp, Charlotte "Dorothy" Grimes, Brenda Davis, Betty Moore and Mildred Lofty.
