When she was not working the ranch, she was riding horses for pleasure in the Florida Sports Horse Club of which she was co-founder and she organized rides such as crossing the state by horse on the historic Florida Cracker Trail. As a nurse, Kathleen worked for 25 years in ICU units in central Florida and south east Tennessee. She also volunteered at The Bridge, a senior living community, in South Pittsburg.
She is survived by her husband Dennis Mas of South Pittsburg, TN; her children Anthony "Rooster" Berry Jr, Kristina Berry, and Stephen Berry; grandchildren, Brittany, Taylor, Hunter, Amber and William Berry; and four step-children, Mia (deceased), Ben, Emily and Sarah Mas and their children and her "sister" Sue Roberts. When Kathleen's horse years came to an end later in her life she turned to dog rescue volunteer work. She regularly assisted dear friend Lori Johnson in animal transport and care. She donated to and volunteered at Senior Dog Sanctuary in Juliet, TN and proudly donated annually to Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Kathleen was baptized Episcopalian in San Jose, CA in 1952, confirmed in Avon Park, and was a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church.
