Kevin Brentt Hudson, age 46, of South Pittsburg, TN passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022. He was born on February 15, 1976, in Chattanooga, TN. He has lived in Tennessee, Florida, and Colorado.
Kevin was a brilliant man, with very few things he couldn't do. Kevin had many passions which included astronomy and building telescopes, where he was previously Optician and President of Astronomy Public Outreach Education, Inc in Jacksonville, Florida. He was featured in Astronomy Magazine for his work in building telescopes. Kevin was a talented musician, playing many types of stringed instruments such as guitar, banjo, base guitar, and upright base. He performed many shows with his dear friends in a band named the Homesteaders, a bluegrass style ensemble. Kevin has worn many hats professionally, most recently, (2018) he opened a coffee shop called Dragging Canoe Coffee Traders in his hometown of South Pittsburg, and in 2019 he opened the Skunk House, a CBD and hemp boutique. Kevin also worked at the Princess Theater doing sound and lights. He truly enjoyed his community and the friendships he established, always thinking of ways to improve or help his town.
Survivors include his parents, Ronald and Charlene Hudson; sister; Kellye (Hudson) Hogan, brother; Brian Hudson (Misty); niece Hannah Hudson, and nephews Dalton Hudson, Hunter Lyons, Hudson Hogan and many other very close family members and Friends. Kevin had an immense circle of friends from all over the world. He was always willing to help anyone in need, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Kevin was very fond of his family, but especially his nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. His kind heart, brilliant mind, positive attitude, magnetic personality and charm set him apart. He was a light in so many lives, well known for his charismatic smile that could brighten anyone's day.
There will be no visitation or service at this time, but a celebration of life will be determined at a later date to be announced.
