Mrs. Layoma Lane Jones, 86, of South Pittsburg, TN, a former of resident of Cleveland, OH, died at a Chattanooga Nursing Home on Monday, September 26, 2011.

A member of Mt. Bethlehem Baptist Church in South Pittsburg, she was a housekeeper for Mrs. Lena Kelly and Mr. and Mrs. AA Kelly and loving caregiver for Mrs. Eva Cameron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Jones; her parents, Will & Janie Martha Bible Lane; her brothers, James, Wylie, Richard, Leslie and her sisters, Elma and Leila.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her sons, Frederick Allen (Jogarricia) Jones of Fayetteville, GA and Anthony D. Jones (Anita) of Jasper, TN; nephew, Dilvard (Dorothy) Lane of South Pittsburg; niece, Brenda Marie Murphy of Bronx, NY; grandchildren, Shelby L. Jones-Martin, Keena L. Jones, Veeta M. Jones-Vaughn, Rico, Ashley & Sharifa Springs; great-grandchildren, Alexys D. Martin, Justin A. Martin, Robert A. Vaughn, Cole P. Vaughn and Daylan R. Vaughn, Jaylenn Parker, Jekerre Puckett, Jaymah Springs and Jaden Springs; several other nieces and nephews; close friends, Rachel Nelson of NY, Frank Kelly of South Pittsburg and Tommie Lee Dennis of Jasper.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Bethlehem Baptist Church on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 1PM Central Time officiated by Rev. John Young. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN.

The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home on Friday, September 30, 2011 from 6PM - 8PM Central Time.
