Lee Thornton Hudson, 89, long time resident of South Pittsburg, TN, died at the Hospice Center in Standifer Place in Chattanooga, TN on Monday, May 3, 2011.

Born on October 28, 1921 in LaFollette, TN to the late Fred and Hattie Moore Hutcherson, he was a member of the Cumberland Lodge, E.F. Davis Elks Lodge and Randolph United Methodist Church. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Sarah Margaret Beene Hudson, grandparents, Rev. John & Susie Moore, brother, LeRoy Hudson, sister, Lelia Williams.

He is survived by his daughters, Sarah (Sonny) Cochran of Groton, CT, Hattie (Roscoe) Morris of Boston, MA, Peggy (Felix) Evans and Linda (Gary) Baker, both of South Pittsburg; sons, Lee Jr. (Emma) Hudson of South Pittsburg, Donald (Jean) Hudson, William (Karin) Hudson both of Jasper, TN, Charles (Joy) Hudson of Chattanooga, TN; 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg at 2pm Central time on Monday, May 9th with Elder Anthony Williams officiating. Interment will be in Anderson Cemetery in Jasper.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9th from 1pm Central time until service time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, TN.
