Mr. Lewis "Sonny" Phillips, formerly of South Pittsburg, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in Commerce, GA.
The son of the late Jerry M. and Lettie Sublett Phillips, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Gay Merriman Roberts Phillips; brother, Jerry Wayne Phillips and sons, Gary Roberts and Christopher Phillips.
He is survived by his children, Lucretia Roberts of Buford, GA, Patrick Phillips of Jefferson, GA and Allan Phillips of North Carolina; daughters-in-law, Tami Phillips of Auburn, GA and Katherine Roberts of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Eric Roberts, Kimberly Roberts and Kevin Roberts all of Sarasota, Stephen Phillips and Jennifer Phillips of Auburn, GA and Kaylen Phillips of Lawrenceville, GA.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, September 8th from 6-8 pm CDT at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
A graveside memorial service and inurnment will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 10 AM CDT at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball.
