Lila Jean Freeman Turner, 87, of Jasper Tennessee passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, Friday, November 9, 2024.

Lila was born in Orme, Tennessee to Elbert Cordell Freeman and Anna Lee Deakins.

She loved fishing, reading and cooking great meals for her family.  She was always there to help and care for her family and even trained to operate a kidney dialysis machine so her husband could dialyze at home while he waited for a transplant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Anna; husband, Fennie Turner; sisters, Ann Kilgore and Virginia White; brothers, Robert (Smiley) Freeman and Elbert Jr (Buddy) Freeman.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Beverly (Roger) Hamock of South Pittsburg, TN, Darla (Keith) Vince of Bridgeport, AL and Jimmie (Steve) Rector of Jasper, Tn; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great greats and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. (CST) at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens, 3076 Main St, Jasper, TN 37347 with Pastor Ronnie Case officiating.

The family will have a private viewing prior to the graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Josh Guess, Christian Turner, Brent Pickelsimer, Jason Cartwright, Ezra Rich and Chris Rector.
