Lillian Edwards Malin, 92, a former 36-year resident of Jasper, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, in a Muscle Shoals, Ala. hospital.She was the daughter of the late John T. and Lillian Prescott Edwards, of Cadiz, Ky., and spent most of her life in the Tennessee Valley and lived longest and most happily in Jasper, where she loved her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl B. "Shorty" Malin; three sisters, Sara Alice "Sis," Elizabeth "Tiny" and Florence "Bootsie."She is survived by two daughters, Lynda M. Creasy, of Tuscumbia, Ala., and Debra M. Carter, of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and one brother, John Edwards, of Cadiz, Ky.; several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper at 2 p.m. CST Saturday, Dec. 1. 2007, with the Rev. Meg Taylor officiating. Interment in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday.
