Fran Priest, age 64, of Nashville, TN, died in a Chattanooga hospital on December 29, 2010.

The daughter of the late Russell L. and Julia Gamble Priest of Jasper, TN, Fran graduated from Marion County High School and Tennessee Tech University before earning a master's degree from the University of Tennessee. She was a former member of the McKendree Methodist Church and the Child Welfare League and served for many years as the Executive Director of the Tennessee Association of Child Care.

She is survived by her sister, Judy Priest of Jasper; paternal aunt, Roselyn Hickey of North Little Rock, AR; cousins, Sarah Keith Gamble of Nashville, Charles W. Gamble III of Smithville, Linda Wilson and Gayle Fisher of North Little Rock, AR, and Kathy Holden of Louisville, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. (CST) on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.
