Obituary
Lillie R Blount, 86, passed away in a Chattanooga hospital on Tuesday October 6, 2020.
"Miss Lillie" retired from Galaxy Carpets and spent 50 years as a substitute teacher at Marion County High school. She was a life long resident of Marion County and a member of the Jasper Lions Club. She was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents David R. Rogers and Mamie Pittman; sisters Janie Piercy, Mary Metless; brother David "Arkie" Rogers; husbands Paul A. Goforth and Robert S. Blount.
Lillie is survived by her children Teresa L. Goforth (Monty) of Collegedale and Christopher P. Goforth (Christie) of Ooltewah; two grandchildren Paige and Megan Goforth both of Ooltewah; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Friday, October 9, 2020 at 1:30 pm CST at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens with pastors Joey Manis and Ronnie Smith.

There will be no public visitation due to Covid-19.
Everyone is welcome to attend the graveside service at the cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Lillie Blount Fund at Marion County High School to help students in need.
