Linda Gullette Hudson, age 55, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, December 28, 2009.
She was born in Jackson County, Alabama, spending her early years in the South Pittsburg area. Most of her school years were spent in Kingston, TN and she graduated from Roane County High School in 1972. She then got her Associates Degree from Roane State Community College and went on to attend the University of Tennessee. Music was Linda's passion. She loved playing the piano, writing and composing music. She played the clarinet in the Knoxville Community Recreation Band as well as the Tennessee Valley Ensemble. Each Christmas she also played in "The Messiah".
Linda touched the lives of many and was loved by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, James Thomas Fitz-Gerald and Elizabeth Jones Fitz-Gerald; paternal grandparents, Lawson E. Gullette and Geneva Strickland Gullette; and her brother, Gary Michael Gullette.
She is survived by her husband, William C. Hudson, Jr. of Knoxville; her parents, Troy T. and Kathleen Fitz-Gerald Gullette of Chattanooga, TN; her brother, Richard Edward Gullette of Chattanooga; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Lawson and Karla Bowers Gullette of Sterling, Virginia; aunts, Fay Ziegler of Lookout Mountain, TN and Virginia "Tede" Rogers of South Pittsburg, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 6 PM Central time with Reverend Charlie Campbell officiating.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 4pm Central time until service time at Rogers Funeral Home, 400 Laurel Avenue, South Pittsburg, TN 37380.
The burial will be on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 10 AM Central time in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN.
