Lonnie Smith of Jasper, Tennessee, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 16, 2018.

Born April 5, 1933, in Batesville, Mississippi, Lonnie was one of thirteen children born to the late Buster and Vonzella Smith.

Lonnie leaves behind two sons, Leon Smith of St. Louis, Missouri and Jerry Smith of Batesville, Mississippi; grandson, Samuel Williams; as well as three siblings, Louella Ford, Katherine Hughes and Jessie Smith. Lonnie also leaves behind special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brad Carter; special gardening friend, Inez Johnson; Mr. and Mrs. Victor "Kokie" Pryor and Tony Cowart, all of Jasper, Tennessee.

A memorial service to commemorate his life will be conducted at 1:00 pm, central time, Saturday, September 29, 2018, in the funeral home chapel.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service.
