Loretta Moss Peoples, 95, of Woodville, Alabama died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at her home.

The daughter of the late Flem and Maggie Johnson Moss, she was a native of Kitts, Kentucky. She liked quilting, sewing, crocheting, and canning. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Peoples; sisters, Lucille McBee, Lena Bee Youngblood, and Dora Bell Allen; and brothers, Johnny Moss and Flem Moss, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail (Gary) Curtis; granddaughters, Hope (Michael) Reed and Melissa Curtis all of Woodville, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Matthew Reed; sister, Kay (Crawford) Lea of Jasper, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 2pm Central time with Pastor Rick Freeman officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 12 Noon until service time at the funeral home.
