Lou Ella Williford Sims, 97, of South Pittsburg died Thursday, May 17, 2007 in a local nursing home.The daughter of the late James Mitchell and Annie Elizabeth Rhodes Williford, she was a lifelong resident of the South Pittsburg area and a member of Long Island Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ernest Sims; son, Robert Sims; granddaughter, Diane Sims; sisters, Alma Blevins and Lorene Walraven; brothers, Claude, Leonard, James and Grover Williford.She is survived by her daughter, Annie Mae Reynolds of South Pittsburg; son, James "Billy" Sims of Bryant, AL; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Sunday, May 20, 2007 at 2:00 PM CDT with Reverend Wayne Winters officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-9 PM CDT and Saturday from 3-9 PM CDT at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
