Louise Smith Beene, 86, of South Pittsburg, TN, went to be with the Lord February 26, 2012. She was a member of Kimball Baptist church for 54 years and a member of The Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Vince Beene, Sr.; parents, Linzy and Velma Smith of Jasper, TN; brother, Harold Smith of El Centro, CA; J.L. Smith of Dunlap, TN and Elbert Smith of Jasper, TN. She is survived by her sons, James V. (Kim) of Whitwell, TN, Johnny H. (Nancy) of Soddy Daisy, TN, Ronald D. (Cheryl) of Chatsworth, GA and Donald K. (Nona) of Red Bank, TN; daughter, Constance E. (Scott) Whited of Scottsboro, AL; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews; sisters, Shirley Mirenda of Madison, TN, Beverly (Craig) Hampton of Jasper, TN and brother, Gary (Jennifer) Smith of Sale Creek, TN. Funeral services will be held at the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 12 noon Central Time on Friday, March 2, 2012, officiated by Rev. Ronnie Case. Interment will follow at 1:30 Central Time in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 4pm - 8pm Central Time.
