Louise Talley Degast

Louise Talley Degast, 89, died at her South Pittsburg home on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

A native of Lodge, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Lee Roy Dalton and Mary Jane Crow Dalton. Mrs. Degast served as executive assistant to Mr. Narrimore at the South Pittsburg Knitting Mills for many years. She also was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Jasper, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Roy, Thomas, J.L., and Ben Dalton; sisters, Ruth Reynolds, Tula Rector and Rebecca Margaret Dalton.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth William Degast; sons, Richard (Jane) Talley, Larry (Wanda) Talley and Darrell (Sally) Talley; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Holder, Vannie McCloud, and Mary Ann Williams; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at 3:00 pm, central time, in the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Cumberland View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, June 29, 2019, from 2:00-8:00 pm, central time, at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
