Lucille Samples Muir, 90, of South Pittsburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 with her loving family by her side.

She loved gardening, growing beautiful flowers, and working in her yard.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister and friend.

She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters; Wilma Martin, Dorothy Atkins (Richard), Step-daughter, Kathy (Brian) LeRoy, sons; Joseph "Bub" Muir, Jr.  (Karen), John H. Muir, James "Jim" Muir (Marie), William "Bill" Muir (Jamie), Joseph David Muir, sister Ruby Hughes, 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren.

Lucille is preceded by in death by husbands, Joseph L. Muir, Sr., and Bud Sampley, her parents; John Samples and Bertha Hayes Phipps, son-in-law, Tommy Martin, Sr., daughter-in-law, Debra Muir grandsons, Brandon Muir and Tommy Martin, Jr., two great- great- grandchildren, sister; Betty Samples Muir, Brothers; Billy samples and Charles "Rabbit" Samples.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Pastor Jim Richardson officiating at Rogers Funeral Home Chapel, 400 Laurel Ave, South Pittsburg.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. (CST) and on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (CST) at the funeral home prior to the funeral service in the chapel.

Lucille will be laid to rest with her husband, Joseph L. Muir at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be James (Jim) Muir, Brock Muir, Jeff Muir, Roger Samples, Joseph (Bub) Muir, Jr. and John Muir.

Honorary Pallbearers will be William (Bill) Muir, Eddie Muir and David Muir.

In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
