Lytha Jane Rich Toney, 78, of Kimball, Tennessee, died Saturday, June 2, 2018.
The daughter of the late Thomas Woodrow & Nellie Jeanette Reames Rich, she operated the Tennessee/Alabama Restaurant in Kimball for many years. She also spent many years caring for the elderly, delighting in the relationships she built with them and their families. She enjoyed travelling and loved to cook and entertain her family in her home, but her favorite pastime was being The Boss.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, A. W. "Tutler" Nichols and Johnny Rich; sister, Joan Rich; and nephew, Tommy Toney.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Marion Toney; son, Craig Toney, of Kirkwood, Missouri; sisters, Linda Rich Toney and Cheryl Rich Webb, both of Kimball; nieces and nephews, Robin Steinbach, Tracey Johnson, both of Kimball, Tammie Byrd, of Glendale Heights, Illinois, Arianne Torgerson, Jacob Toney, both of Kimball, Brandon Venson, of Dodge City, Kansas, Bryant Venson, of Joplin, Missouri, Breanna Venson, of St. Charles, Missouri, and Gabriella Torgerson, of Kimball; sisters-by-choice, Susan (Don) Weaver, of Jasper, Tennessee, and Sally (David) Wayne, of Kimball; brother-by-choice, Carl Edward (Frances) Campbell, of Sequatchie, Tennessee; and best friend forever, Sue (Jimmy) Stephens, of Kimball.
Funeral services will be held at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Central time on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, with Darrell Nunley officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Central time at the funeral home.
