Mable Green, 75, of South Pittsburg, TN died Friday, November 6, 2015 at her home.


The daughter of the late George Willie Green and Corene Oden Pryor, she was a former employee of Penn-Dixie Cement Company. She became a member of Mt. Bethlehem Baptist Church at an early age and was a longtime custodian and usher.


Mable was the "neighborhood mom," had a big heart and put others first. She had a green thumb and loved cruises, gardening, flowers, cooking and fishing, but her greatest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


She is survived by her children, Ida Green of South Pittsburg, Kathy Cunningham of Stevenson, AL, Rosalind Green, Sylvia Green and Yewanna Green all of South Pittsburg and Thomas Green of Chattanooga, TN; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; special friends, Alice Officer and Jarvis Wooten; and special cousin, Betty Mobley.


Funeral services will be conducted from Mt. Bethlehem Baptist Church at 2:00 pm Central time on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 with visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN.
