Mrs. Madeline Parker, 87, of Jasper, TN died Sunday, August 23, 2009 in a Winchester, TN healthcare facility.
The daughter of the late Lucion Carter Noel and Beulah Mae Howard Noel Piercy, she and her family moved to Jasper when she was a child. A graduate of Marion County High School, she was a lifelong member of the Havron's Chapel United Methodist Church, helped organize the Havron's Chapel Cemetery fund and worked as a clerk for the Sequachee Valley Electric Coop for many years. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Margueritte Thatch and husband, Mike F. Parker, Sr.
She is survived by her sons, Mike F. Parker Jr. also of Jasper and Malcolm C. (Sandra L.) Parker of Jacksonville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Monica (Shawn) Underwood of Fort Riley, Kansas and Lynn Quarles of Jasper and Michael A. Parker of Salt Lake City, Utah; two great-grandchildren, Cole & Madison Underwood; sister, Peggy Morgan of Jasper; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 1 PM CST on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 with Rev. Vernon Windom officiating. Interment will follow at Havron's Chapel Cemetery in Jasper.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 24, 2009 from 6-9 PM CST at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
