Margaret Boruff Lewis, 80, died Friday, August 14, 2009 at Emerald Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee, TN.
She was a member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church and The Retired Teachers Association. She was employed by the Marion County Board of Education for 28 years and volunteered at the Jasper Public Library for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Denham and Pearl Boruff; sister, Bea Green; brother, William Boruff and daughter-in-law, Debbie Lewis.
Survivors include her sons, Eddie Lewis of Chattanooga, TN, Gary (Johneece) Lewis of Grandview, TN; Don (Laura) Lewis of Ooltewah, TN; her daughter, Jan (Gary) Davis of Jasper; a sister, Jannah Hicks of Englewood, TN; grandchildren, Will (Bedth) Lewis, Jack Lewis, Ben Davis and Kelli Lewis; great-grandchildren, Damien and Alexyz Lewis and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper on Sunday, August 16th from 3pm until the funeral services at 6pm CDT, which will be conducted by Gary Davis and Donnie Rogers. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper on Monday, August 17th at 11am.
