Jane "Marie" Smith, 90, of South Pittsburgh, a current resident of Vero Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Marie is survived by two sons, Robert Smith, of Gainesville FL, and William Smith, of Vero Beach FL; Granddaughters, Misty Smith, Melinda Gallant, Angela Bosman, Rebecca Smith, Sharon Stewart, Beverly Hurtado, Jamie Harrison, and Stephanie Boggs. Along with many great grandchildren and an abundance of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Ora Mae Grider; husband, Ted Smith and son, Teddy Smith of South Pittsburg; brother, and sister-in-law, Bill and Nellie Grider of Trenton Georgia.

Marie was a small business owner. She was the proud owner and operator of Marie's Beauty salons. She loved her customers; many she counted as dear friends. She was an independent and vibrant personality completely devoted to her family and work alike.

A grave side service will be held at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper Tennessee on Tuesday December 19, 2003 at 12pm Central Time with Pastor, Roger Webb officiating.

There will be no public visitation at the funeral home, the family will visit with friends at the cemetery following the graveside service.
