Mr. Marion Austin Collins, 75, of South Pittsburg, TN died Saturday, April 22 in a Chattanooga hospital. The son of the late Calvin Buford and Willa Mae Austin Collins, he was an US Air Force veteran. He retired from the service in August of 1971 after serving the Air Force in England, Scotland, Japan and the Marshall Islands. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Buford Collins, Jr. and sister, Betty Joe Dobson. He is survived by his wife, Viola Collins of South Pittsburg; niece, Debbie Hicks and nephew, Stephen Dobson; step-children, Patricia Newell and husband, Richard of Indian Trail, NC, Diane Howie and husband, Eddie of Matthews, NC and Jackie Kee of Charlotte, NC; special friends and caregivers, Pete & Cordie Cagle of South Pittsburg. Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at 11 AM CDT with Rev. David Hoschar officiating. Interment will be in Beene-Raulston Cemetery.The family will receive friends Monday, April 24, 2006 from 6-8 PM CDT at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
