Martha Frances King Durham, 82, of Signal Mountain and a former resident of New Hope, died February 12, 2008 at Alexian Village of TN.She was the daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Julia Frances Caldwell King. She was a former manager of the Bargain Store and former bookkeeper for Williams Brothers Oil Company. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and loved to cook, sew, needlepoint, crochet, paint, bake and take care of her family. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon C. Durham, sister, Edna Ruth Kennemore, brothers, Buddy, James, and Thomas King.She is survived by her children, Dan and Debbie Durham and Randy and Mary Durham of Signal Mountain, TN; grandchildren, Beau Durham, Erin Durham and Sarah Durham, all of Signal Mountain; sister, Willie Mae Collins, South Pittsburg, George King, of New Hope and Gerald King of Cleveland, TN; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home, Friday, February 15, 2008, at 1:00 P.M., CST. with Rev. Charlie Campbell officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery.The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 8 P.M., CST, and Friday from 11:30am until time of the service at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation Chapter Inc., 73625 Hamilton Park Drive, Suite 8, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
