Mary June Bowlin, 83, of Sequatchie, TN, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 18, 2020.

She was the daughter of the late Walter K. Privett and Gussie Hall Privett.

June was a choir member and pianist at First Baptist Church of Jasper for many years. She worked as secretary for 11 Superintendents for the Marion County School System where she began in 1966 and retired in 2011.

June is preceded in death by her husband, L.H. (Luke) Bowlin, Jr., and her brothers, Arnold and Wayne Privett.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracye Griffith, of Sequatchie, TN, and her son, Travis (Mandy) Bowlin, of Chattanooga, TN; her sister, Virginia Jo (Robert) Payne, of Madison, AL, and her brother, Norrell (Linda) Privett, of Jasper, TN; her grandchildren, Sarah (Larry) Ziegler, and Adli and Luke Bowlin, and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service for the family will be conducted by Rev. Greg Steele on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. Honorary pallbearers are Neil and Jason Privett, Barry and Don Privett, Mike and Doug Payne, Fred and Phil Lewis, and Rick Bowlin.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Jasper First Baptist Church Choir.
