Mary Frances Godsey Burnett, 83, of Jasper, Tennessee, died Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at her home.

The daughter of the late Robert Lee & Fannie Bell Saint Godsey, she was of the Baptist faith. She was a 1954 graduate of Marion County High School and an avid basketball player.

She is survived by two sons, Jerome Burnett and Ronnie "Bo" Burnett and his wife, Debbie, of Jasper; daughter, Jackie Burnett Maples and her husband, Steve, of Chattanooga; brother, Jimmy Godsey; sister, Muff Godsey Payne, and her husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Michelle Walker, Samantha Maples, Joshua Maples, and Elizabeth Warren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Central time on Thursday, November 14, 2019 with Rev. Jeff Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Central time on Wednesday, November 13, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children Medical Center — Lexington, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, KY 40508, or the Marion County Sheriff's Department Christmas for Kids Fund, 5 Oak Street, Jasper, TN 37347, or the Marion County Food Bank, P.O.
