Mary Jane Herman Brainard Scribner, 74, of Hixson, Tennessee died Sunday, August 27, 2017.

The daughter of the late Andrew and Willie Ruth Foutz Herman, she worked at Waffle House for many years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hixson, and she loved cooking and playing Bingo.

She is survived by her daughters, Leslie Clayton and Sharon Bishop, both of Soddy Daisy; son, Michael (Kim) Brainard of Ooltewah; grandchildren, Jenny, Chris, Holly, Kayla, Michael, Chandler, Blaine, Autumn, and Noah "Goober"; great-grandchildren, Andrea, Elizabeth, Everett, Baileigh, Emerie "HotDog," Collin, Cammy, Evan and Cayson; sister, Nancy Ryals of Phenix City, Alabama; and uncle, Leonard Wynne of South Pittsburg.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm Central Time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.
