Mary "Maggie" Williams, 90, of South Pittsburg, TN died May 5, 2007 at her home.Mary "Maggie" Williams was born on August 2, 1916 in South Pittsburg, Tennessee to the late Jerry and Emma Williams. She was the youngest of five children, all of whom have preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two nieces whom she helped raise, Frances Gault and Mary Morris.She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago at Randolph United Methodist Church. She attended when possible until her health failed. Mary was also known as Maggie, Aunt Maggie, Ms. Maggie, Cousin Maggie, Grannie Maggie and Great-Grandma. She loved gardening, embroidery and piecing quilt tops. Above all, she loved all of her family.Maggie leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Emma Louise Thomas; granddaughter, Andrea Thomas; great-grandson, Javon Hunter of Cleveland, Ohio; a very close niece, Virginia Peppers of Manchester, TN; grandnephews, Reverend John Morris, James (Cynthia) Morris all of South Pittsburg, Joseph Morris of DeKalb, Illinois; grandniece, Anna (Willet Mac) McCowen; great-grandniece, LaShawn McCarver of Toledo, Ohio; great-grandnephews, Robert (Denice) Gault of Antioch, TN; Keith (Viva) McCarver of Toledo, Ohio; great-grandnephew whom she loved as a son, Chris (Shanora) Morris of Chattanooga, TN; a very special friend of the family, Mable Reid of Whitwell, TN; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Funeral services will be conducted from Randolph United Methodist Church in South Pittsburg on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 12 Noon CDT with Reverend Alberta Clark and Reverend John Morris officiating. Interment will be in Gaines Chapel Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the church from 11 AM CDT until service time on Saturday, May 12, 2007.
