Mrs. Mary L. Vance, 89, formerly of Wadsville, Indiana, died Friday, August 3, 2007 in a South Pittsburg Nursing Home.She and her late husband, Clarence C. Vance, operated a restaurant in Griffin, Indiana in 1958-59. They also ran a truck stop in Wadsville, Indiana. She attended Wadsville High School and moved to California in 1961. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam Wentzel and Lilly Moye Wentzel; three brothers, Jim, Bud and Dennis Wentzel; sister, Frances Poole; granddaughter, Carrie Sue "Care" Hanzlik; and daughter, Ruth Ann Hanzlik.She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Jean Johnson of South Pittsburg; grandsons Greggory Alfred Johnson also of South Pittsburg, John Robert Hanzlik, III and Jeffery Wayne Hanzlik both of Grenada Hills, CA; six great-grandsons, Evan Hanzlik, Corey Hanzlik, Blake Hanzlik, Jonathan C. Johnson and David Tyler Johnson; great-granddaughter, Merranda Hanzlik; sister, Barbara Sue, Sue Daugherty; brothers, Sam Wentzel and Bob Wentzel.She had a smile til the end, lived life simple and as God gave it to her. Always helping others.There will be no public services for Mrs. Vance.
