Mrs. Mary Blevins Whitefield, 62, of New Hope, TN died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family.
The daughter of the late Hershel & Lydia Raley Blevins, she was a member of Kimball Baptist Church. She worked for over 24 years at Stroup's Department Store in South Pittsburg and loved crafts and painting on glassware.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Whitefield; daughter & son-in-law, Kelly & Scott McClendon; granddaughter, Kacie McClendon all of New Hope; special aunts and uncles, RO and Jewell Blevins, Wiley Raley and Pearl Poe; sisters-in-law, Nell Stewart, Lola (Jerry) Walker and Mary Lou Bryant; special nephew and niece, James & Carrie Waldrop; special cousins, Waymon & Vickie Blevins, Jerry & Marlynn Blevins, Jane & Jerry Kennemore, Linda & Tony Perez and Bobby Blevins; and Nana's special buddies, Keli Bruning & Rebekah Wilson.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 1 PM CST with Reverends David Hoschar and Marvin McClendon officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
The family will gather with friends for visitation on Sunday, January 25th from 2-4 and 6-9 PM CST at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
