Mrs. Melba Idelle Fuller Gholston of Sequatchie, TN, born August 29, 1937, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in a Chattanooga Hospital on Wednesday February 3, 2016.


She was preceded in death by her parents Rushell and Mable Fuller, brothers James E. (Red) Fuller, Calvin C. (Dolly) Fuller and Bobby J. Fuller.


She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Edward G. Gholston of Sequatchie, TN, one daughter Sandy (Dale) Howard, Kimball, TN, sons Dennis (Andrea) Gholston and Kenneth Gholston both of Sequatchie, TN. Brothers Clifford E. (Fay) Fuller, Jasper, TN, Rex T. (Barbara) Fuller of Paducah, KY, and Houston R. Fuller of Fort Walton Beach, Florida: Six grandchildren, Cheri (Mark) Moreland, Jeff (Kacie) Howard and Sheena Gholston all of Jasper, TN., Brittany Gholston, Jared (Tessa) Gholston and Jada (Johnathan) Belk all of Sequatchie, TN.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Janice and Bobby Bowman, John and Glenna Gholston all of Sequatchie, TN and Joyce Fuller of Jasper, TN; 13 great-grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends for visitation from 5-8pm Central time on Thursday February 4, 2016, at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 5, 2016, at 2:00 Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, TN. Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN.


The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Sequatchie First Baptist Church.
