Michael King, age 59, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, August 13, 2026.

Michael was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him great joy. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his dedication to his family, and the many memories he shared with those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Dee King and Susie Ruth Thomas King.

Survivors include his loving wife, Elizabeth Carter King; his children, Gary Michael King, Jr., Alexis Nichelle King, Kasey Leanne King, Coy Dakota King, Rachel Michelle King, and Damon Gabriel King; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother; four sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will be cherished forever.
