Michael D. Berryhill
May 18, 1960 – September 18, 2026
Michael "Mike" Berryhill, age 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2026, with his loving family by his side.
Mike was a loving father, brother, son, and friend who devoted much of his life to helping others. He worked for 30 years as a heavy equipment mechanic with Local 103. A man of many talents, Mike was skilled in welding and operating heavy equipment, and he had a great love for cooking on the grill.
Mike was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand. Throughout his lifetime, he generously gave his time to friends, family, and his community. He took great pride in serving as Commander of American Marion Legion Post 62, where he dedicated himself to helping Veterans in need. His service to others reflected the kind of person he was—someone who cared deeply about the people around him.
Mike was also a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a pillar of his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others created a lasting legacy that will live on through his family and the many people whose lives he touched.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Dorothy Berryhill; and one sister, Barbara Berryhill.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers, David (Linda) Berryhill, Eddie (Sandra) Berryhill, and Billy (Donna) Berryhill; longtime partner, Stephanie Waterman; daughter, Jessica Berryhill; son, William (Roxann) Berryhill; grandson, Briley Berryhill; along with several nieces, nephews, friends, and other loved ones.
The family will gather for a private visitation on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at the funeral home.
A celebration of Life will be held for friends and family at the South Pittsburg, American Legion Marion Post 62, at 300 Elm Ave, South Pittsburg, TN on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
In lieu of Flowers donations maybe to The South Pittsburg, American Legion Marion Post 62, 300 Elm Ave, South Pittsburg, TN 37380.
Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory and the legacy of love and service he leaves behind will continue to live on.
