Mildred Meadows, 91, of Whitwell, TN, was greeted by her Lord on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.

Born in Louisiana to the late Clara Richard and William Nickleson, her family moved to Arkansas where they worked the rice plantation and mill. Marriage and four children later, her and her husband, Loyd, moved to California where she worked in the nursing field. After moving to Tennessee, she wore many hats. She cared for her family well and often retired from the same job more than once.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Loyd B Meadows; sons: Richard L Meadows and Ronnie D Meadows; grandchildren: Jeremy, Jeffrey, & Jesse Meadows; and five siblings.

Surviving her is her daughter and her husband, Rhonda & Jerry Haggard; son and his wife, Harold & Mary Meadows; grandchildren: Vicki (Terry) Williams, Jarrett Haggard, Justin (Brittanie) Meadows, Caleb (Nikita) Meadows; great-grandchildren: Corey, Sheppard, Courtney, Caitlin, Hattie, Mylie, Alexis, & Raelynn; sister: Beverly Freeman.

A celebration of her life will be Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00AM CT at the Whitwell Church of Christ. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Interment will follow immediately afterward at Hooker Cemetery where she will be joined once again with her second love.
