Mildred Ware Troxell-Pierce was born in South Pittsburg, Tennessee on January 28, 1932 and passed away at home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. She suffered complications from a broken hip and after an extremely long five weeks, her last 24 hours were nothing but comfort and peace as she prepared for her new and heavenly home.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Troxell, of 37 years and later by Robert Piece for 3 years. She is also preceded in death by her father and mother, Alf and Bell Ware; two brothers, Junior and Fred Ware; and one sister, Ruby Myers. She is survived by a son, Mike Troxell of Jasper; a daughter, Pat Troxell-Warren (Danny) of Chattanooga; a granddaughter, Laura (Ryan) Hixon and two great-granddaughters, Maggie and Alice, of Chattanooga. She is also survived by two brothers, Kenneth Ware of Carrolton, Georgia and Glen Ware of Chattanooga along with several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
The family would like to thank Hearth Hospice for the tremendous medical attention provided during six days at home and especially Ardent Senior Care for the unwavering attention and love that was provided.
Arrangements were made by Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg and the family held a private graveside service on October 20, 2022 with the Reverend Mike Campbell officiating from Jasper Church of the Nazarene where Mildred was a long time member. A memorial service at her church will be announced at a later date.
