Monica Denise Edwards, 50, of Augusta, GA., formally of South Pittsburg, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021. She was  born June 8, 1971.

Monica was a sweet and loving person, and a hard worker.  She loved working for Walden Security and  Pactiv Evergreen, in Augusta Ga.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bessie Lee and Harry Mitchell, and L.D. Rutledge, mother, Juanita Teague, father, Kenneth Mitchell and step- father, Willie Teague.

Left to mourn her are sisters; Sabrina (Tony) Mitchell Booker, Karen Hutchins, Sharon (James) Kelley, Michelle Johnson, Kendra Mitchell, brothers; Kenneth Robinson, Terry Mitchell, Emmett Robinson, William (Rolanda) Mitchell,  Stacy (Tina) Miller, Sebastian "Blu" Mitchell, Michael Woodall, step-sisters and brother;  Michelle Jones, Michela Saunders, Albert Jones, and a special sister, Andrea Edwards of Augusta, GA., aunts; Jean Mitchell, Sara Bush, and  Mary Ruth Whisnant, and uncle, Linn Rutledge., several nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and friends.  Her best friends were Jaidyn Evett, Karsyn Evett, Talan Fears, Talya Fears, and Taylan Malone.

Also left to mourn her is her partner and special friend, Kevin Sharpe of Augusta, GA.  Other special friends are Bridgett Robinson of Bridgeport, AL.,  Clay Johnson, Suave Busey, Noel Mathis, Olivia Johnson, and Miss Bird all of Augusta, Ga. and a host of friends at Pactiv Evergreen.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) in the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home, of South Pittsburg with Pastor Nicole Walker officiating.

Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Rogers Funeral Home of South Pittsburg from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (CST) prior to the funeral service in the chapel.
