Williford Clouse
October 25, 1951 – September 13, 2010
Nancy Jean Williford Clouse of New Hope, TN was called home by her Heavenly Father on Monday, September 13.
She was the daughter of Carrie H. Williford and the late Leonard J. Williford. She is survived by her husband, E. Gary Clouse; son, Hamilton Scott Clouse; daughter, Cara Alexandria Clouse and mother Carrie H. Williford.
Nancy was raised in New Hope and was a graduate of South Pittsburg High School. She had been employed at Gentry Chevrolet, Penn Dixie Industries, and the Tennessee Valley Authority.
While Nancy raised her family, she worked as a substitute teacher, along with many other volunteer positions at: Richard Hardy Memorial School, South Pittsburg Elementary School, and Chattanooga Christian School (where she also served as President of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)). She had served as an officer for the Marion County Election Commission and would always greet anyone with a warm and sincere smile.
She was a dedicated gospel singer since the age of five and could play, on the piano, any song that she heard. She was an avid cook and also enjoyed painting crafts.
As a member of Abba's House (Central Baptist Church of Hixson) she continued her witness by singing in the choir, supporting church mission efforts and helping out in the children and youth programs.
Funeral services will be conducted from Abba's House on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 3pm Eastern Time (2pm Central Time) with Reverends Ron Phillips, Ken Hartley and Joe Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow in Hooker Cemetery in Wildwood, GA.
The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, TN on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 7-10pm Eastern Time (6-9pm Central Time).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Abba's House Media Ministries or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
