Mr. Ned H. Rice, of South Pittsburg, TN, 67, died Monday, August 29, in Dutton, AL due to a car accident.

Mr. Rice was born in Stevenson, Alabama on January 31, 1944. He came to South Pittsburg at an early age and graduated from McReynolds High School. He attended college at Tennessee State University in Nashville. He retired from TVA and Parkridge Valley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Jordan Rice; parents, Alex and Lila Marbury Rice; and brothers, Alexander, John, Bruce, and Donald Rice.

Mr. Rice is survived by his daughter, Amy Rice Davis; grandson, James Adam Davis III, both of Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Joyce Rice (James) Streeter of Haines City, FL; and Leah A. Rice of Huntsville, AL and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg at 11AM Central Time.
The family will receive friends from 10 - 11AM Central Time at the funeral home.
