Mrs. Novella Farmer Long Chambers, 93, of Jasper, died at her home on Sunday, January 9, 2011.

The daughter of the late John L. and Mattie Elizabeth Robbins Farmer, she was also preceded in death by two husbands, Les Long and John Chambers. Mrs. Chambers was a former employee of Dol-Wear Mills and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann (Jim) Quarles and Peggy (Larry) Parker, both of Jasper; two brothers, Wes Farmer of Wildwood, GA and Oscar Farmer of Dalton, GA; one sister, Marie Hill of Augusta, GA; seven grandchildren, James G. Quarles, Leslie Dale Quarles, Warren Wray Quarles, Marlene Parsons, Larry Randall Parker, Jr., Leslie Richard Parker, Loren Russell Parker; eleven great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper at 2:00 on Wednesday, January 12 with Rev. David Clay officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00pm on Tuesday at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
