Opal Muriel Waldrop Knight, 89.  passed peacefully at her home in Ladds, TN on December 26,2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents Melissa and Ernest Clarence Waldrop (German pronounced Waldrup) from Cole City, Georgia. Opal was also preceded in death by siblings Julia Raines, Elizabeth Freeman, Garnet Waldrop, Evon Huime, twin brother Oatha Waldrop and Andre Waldrop.

Opal was married to the late Henry H. Knight Sr. and is survived by their children Karen (Gilbert, recently deceased) Ellis, Martha (Larry) Watson, Janet (deceased Benjamin) Winnie, Deborah Sue (deceased Mark) Wade, Henry Hugh Jr. and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. (CST) at Rogers Funeral in South Pittsburg officiating will be Minister Bruce Leonard.

Mrs. Knight will be laid to rest at State- Line Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. (CST) prior to the funeral service in the chapel.
